Public Awareness
Stay Safe, Stay Informed
Awareness is the first line of defence. Understand your rights, know the helplines, and help us build safer communities.
Cyber Crime Awareness
- Never share OTPs, PINs or passwords with anyone — including callers claiming to be police or bank officials.
- Verify the identity of persons before making any financial transactions online.
- Report phishing emails or suspicious messages to cybercrime@gov.in immediately.
- Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication on all accounts.
Missing Persons & Child Safety
- Report a missing person immediately at your nearest police station — do not wait 24 hours.
- Note down the last known location, clothing description, and any identifying marks.
- Keep recent photographs and identity documents of all family members accessible.
- Children should know their home address and a trusted adult’s phone number by heart.
Women Safety
- Dial 112 (Emergency) or 1091 (Women Helpline) in any situation of distress.
- Share your live location with a trusted contact when travelling alone at night.
- Domestic violence is a crime — seek help from the nearest police station or NGO.
- The POCSO Act provides strict protection for children against sexual offences.
Financial Fraud Prevention
- Dial the National Cyber Crime Helpline 1930 within 24 hours of any financial fraud.
- Banks never ask for card details, CVV, or internet banking credentials over phone.
- Verify QR codes carefully before scanning — fraudsters replace legitimate QR codes.
- Report suspicious transactions at cybercrime.gov.in — early reporting improves recovery.
Know Your Rights
- You have the right to know the grounds of arrest under Article 22 of the Constitution.
- You cannot be held in custody for more than 24 hours without a magistrate’s order.
- Free legal aid is available to anyone who cannot afford a lawyer — contact NALSA.
- An FIR must be registered free of charge at any police station for cognizable offences.
Community Vigilance
- Report suspicious activity or unattended objects to the nearest officer immediately.
- Participate in your local neighbourhood watch programme — community watch reduces crime.
- Do not share unverified crime news on social media — it may impede investigations.
- Witness information is crucial — your identity is protected under the Witness Protection Scheme.

About CRIMSON
Built for high-stakes investigative operations
CRIMSON was developed to address fragmented, siloed police records that prevent investigators from seeing connections across cases. The platform integrates AI-based entity extraction, graph-theoretic network analysis, and secure case management into a single auditable system.
- Sovereign Deployment — Runs entirely on your infrastructure. No data leaves to third-party services.
- Court-Admissible Logs — Every action timestamped with IP, user agent, and data diff.
- Zero Trust Architecture — JWT-based auth with role enforcement on every API endpoint.
- Immutable Audit Trails — Every read, write, and delete is permanently logged and tamper-proof.

Authorised access only
CRIMSON is a restricted law enforcement system. All access attempts are monitored and logged.
